Each of the other three computers on our home LAN shared the same DNS number that was a different number than the DNS stored in my old Compaq. I was having this problem several weeks ago did the ipconfig/flushdsn (above) and haven't had the problem since. Each entry will look something like the following: 0 pagead.googlesyndication.com 0.0.0.0 ad.doubleclick.net Entries like this will block access to the sites listed. I have IE 6.0 SP1 and Windows 98. Hope this works for whoever else is having the same problem!

It doesn't stop there over the course of months it gradually stops opening other pages/sites too> I have checked for viruses and pc is clean i wondered if it is my HOPEFULLY this will work for you, as well.
