I think it has to do with an unknown device that has cropped up in the device manager, and it seems that when I uninstall it within safe mode and restart When I got to the login screen and the caps lock key worked, then the num and scroll locks illuminated I almost fell off my chair! solved Mouse and keyboard stop working after Windows 7 starts! sorry if my description wasn't clear, I am using the on screen keyboard to type and I have to click for every letter. navigate here
I can't think of a way for you to access the login if your keyboard does not work for some reason. Like you, this makes no sense to me but it worked like a charm. I have already had a number of issues with Windows 10 malfunctioning and am very frustrated by its fragility. My "guess" is: the power adapter and the mother board seems to have some sort of voltage or current problem which makes the USB ports not working with any USB devices. check over here
